Not really, if anything, it may have made it more dangerous. Saddam was a tyrannical dictator, who did many horrid things to people in his country. Yet despite that, he was no friend of radical Islamic terrorists either. What with the differences he shared with Iran, indeed having got to war with Iran in the past, he was a force for helping keep Iran in check. Now that he is gone, it is theorized that Iran's influence will grow, possibly affecting the development of the new government in Iraq. We may end up with Iraq becoming like that of a second Iran. Time will tell.

No, but that wasnt the purpose. We knew that Saddams capture would create a vaccume that would be filled by other evil men in the region. And that is exactly what happened.

Those fools will always be a threat to world stability. I dont think anyone honestly believed that removing one man would change things much. But one step, is one step closer. Two steps is two steps closer. Perhaps with a little help from our friends we can take many steps, and that would make the world safer. But so far, many others have chosen to take the wrong side, and this strengthens them. That is the danger of liberalism.

Not really, there is still the Israeli-Palestanian war which kills hundreds everyday. Also the soldiers in Iraq, we keep hearing about people dying cos of bombs and stuff. I don't think that the capturing of ONE man made the Middle East a safer place than before his capture. It will take A LOT of captured people to do so.

No it has not, the big problem here is they are going to make a martyr out of him, they have taken to long to put him down and by this have given him the time needed to reach out to the Arab world radicals, in turn you are now seeing what the out come is going to be, these people want a holy war and any one that thinks they can change that has there head in the sand, all you have to do is look at how they murder there own just to get their point ac cross. I believe the middle east is nothing more than a death camp for those who want to visit there. these people simply have no respect for human life or rights, if you criticize them in any way what so ever your dead that simple.

Look at the news! Does it look safer?
I think not. He kept a lid on all the crap that was happening there then and is happening now, and neither the USA or the new government have a clue on how to replicate that.
There is a saying, a rough wedge on a rough block (which Saddam was). Nobody has one now.

No not really. In some ways, but the 2 main groups of the middle east are fighting and killing more people than the other guy ever did. I think that america should get its troups out of there and let them handle the problem theirselves. After all they are big kids!!

no, the rate of crime and terror incidents has astronomically gone higher since the invasion and Saddam's capture, the $HIT HOLE that we dug in the middle east has so far cost many folds over of Innocent lives what that dictator has taken in his time, but we "Americans" feel better by answering yes and sure so we can sleep better at night.

Great way for the blind "Damascus prince", above, to tell ONE side of the story. You forgot to show the YEARS of daily bloodshed your murderous friends cause(d)I in Israel. You are a coward to hide behind the lifeless bodies you show & cry victim. I'm sure you feel we should feel bad for the family of 9 Who’s, foolish IDIOT father allowed the murdering hezbollah to conduct terrorist meetings in his house. Sure, throw your child in the lions den & then cry that it is the lion keeper’s fault that your child was killed. What a fool! It is horror that civil. are dying, there is no doubt, but this is NOT Israel’s intention. The ungodly filth hamas & hez MUST be destroyed, for the WORLDS sake. Remove your hate & you will regain your site!
