Safe? Yes. Not always comfortable for above mentioned reasons, but spicy food is okay.

Still worried? Think about the number of world cultures whose diets are routinely spicy: Indian, Thai, Mexican.

Now go have some curry!

I ate spicy food the whole time I was pregnant, and I don't even like spicy food. It is fine, just make sure that you have a BIG bottle of Tums. I have always heard that what you crave most when you are pregnant your baby will like also. My daughter loves spicy stuff.
