What year is your truck?

Fuel injected or carburetor?

There is not enough information.

Sounds like you're just shooting at it in the dark.
You probably would be better off taking to a mechanic.

Remove the distributor cap & with help from someone else have them crank the engine over while u are watching the rotor to see if it turns. If it doesn't then you will have to check to see if the timing chain has broke. To do this remove the easiest valve cover to get to, and have someone crank the engine while u watch the rocker arms. If they move then the timing chain is fine. You have now got to remove the distributor & inspect the gear that drives it. The pin that holds the gear in place may have sheared, and is allowing only the gear to rotate & not turn the shaft.

If the distributor shaft does turn you will have to see if you have fuel injector pulese. To do this you will need a set of noid lights (available at most auto parts stores.) Plug in a light to the one of the connectors to an injector & watch the light. If it flashes then the computer is working & also the Crankshaft position sensor is working.

Another thing to check is Fuel Pressure. There should be 35-45 psi whilecranking the engine. If there is no pressure or low pressure (anything lower than 30psi) the engine will not start and you will need to replace the fuel pump.

One simple thing to check is if there is fuel in the tank.

Added 7/22/06: Also check to see if the fuel cutoff switch has not been tripped. It is located inside the cab on the firewall next to where the brake pedal mounts.

i comprehend it relatively is an previous positioned up yet i had an identical concern. It became out to be the gasoline sending swap. i assumed i could be dropping the tank to alter the gasoline pump yet rather it became right into a 2 minute/6 dollar activity.

Work your way back, what triggers the module?
Check the crank position sensor. (it's expensive too just replace stuff until it works)
