Yes, having someone constantly frown upon me for having a drink with friends or go out and get drunk for a celebration would drive me nuts. I'm not an alcoholic and I don't encourage binge drinking (only on weekends) but alcohol does make a lot of events much more entertaining and having someone you date with you who drinks makes it more fun.
the only plus side would be you'd have a sober cab, even if she does nag and give you guilt trips the entire time.

It wouldn't bother me. I find eating fish or any seafood repulsive, but my husband still does so. It is his choice. AS long as he doesn't expect me to join him, it is all good.

Never drinking is one thing- that's a choice, a personal decision. BUT to look down upon or insist that others make the same decision is stupid. I could not date someone that insisted that I don't drink. I usually have a drink after dinner. I come from bourbon country and I love the stuff. I am over 21 and there is no one that can tell me that I can't have a glass of bourbon when I want.

I dont trust people who do not drink alcohol. Ive gotten drunk the last three days in a row. i started drinking before noon yesterday on advice received here on Y!answers. Thanks guys! I cant get out of my bed today though :( So it would be difficult for me not to date a drinker.

it wouldn't bother me because i don't drink at all. It doesn't bother me when I'm around people. I just hate the taste of alcohol!

I don't really drink, so this wouldn't be a problem for me. But I wouldn't date anyone who was that judgemental. Life is short, it's not worth it.

probably not, I only drink once in a blue moon so I don't think it would bother me at all if I didn't drink because my significant other hated it
