We have been to Orlando, FL several times and like it but might want to try something different this time. Also, we are probably going to Europe next year for our anniversary so we don't want to spend to much money this trip.

Vail Colorado ... Nobody is there and you two can run amuck!!!

It's fall in September and the aspen are beautiful colors. Typically, the "October Fest" is going on ... Colorado is saturated with "Micro-Breweries" that come out for the October Fests.

You can take Jeep Rides ... Ride horses through the aspen trees - so romantic ... White water rafting; but only the advanced should be doing this in the fall!!! If you're in shape you can rent bikes. There are paved bike trails throughout town and connecting Vail to Keystone or if you're daring, then take the bike up the lift to the top of the mountain and find your way down!!! If you're into golfing, well that little white ball travels far in this high altitude climate .

Hotel & Restaurant prices usually are cut in half since people are MIA . Oh, there's this Swiss Weinnersnislz shop that has the best Veal hot dogs in the world. Hot-Tubs are ususally in every hotel, but it is mighty cold when you get out .

Again, the biggest benefit of going to Vail in the fall is that no body else is there, so you get that romantic peaceful time together .

There's a quaint town in Missouri called St. Charles. It's just north of St. Louis. The town is historic with a historic downtown area full of cute little shops and wineries. There is also two beautiful casinos and a Dave and Buster's. Plus St. Louis is only about 10 minutes or so away, and there's plenty to do in St. Louis. This would be a relatively cheap trip depending on where you live now. It's kind of a short romantic getaway.

Depending on your timing, you may want to check out the Blue Ridge Mountains. If the leaves are changing color, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway will be worth it alone.

Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown are nice inexpensive places to visit and they are interesting as well because of their background.
