Could a person call the police information desk 12 times one day, then call the police information desk the next day 12 times without getting into trouble? Keep in mind that each time you call, you are asking real legit questions. And also keep in mind that the same person will be answering each time you call. How many calls can you make before this person answering the phone becomes angry and sends the police out to your house?

I"m not sure that repeated calls to the police station would warrant the police to your house - however, if you do have multiple and legitimate questions why not write them all down and ask them.. I am sure the frustrated officer, should he recognize your voice, would probably tell you the same thing - ask all your questions at once. The officers are busy and don't have time to waste with repeated questions. Allow them to do their jobs and you should perhaps find other resourses to get your questions answered. Good luck.

If they are legitimate questions that the police could be expected to answer it should be the citizens right to call as often as they need to, the person at the police station could reasonably ask the caller to refer to the web site most municipalities have and point out the necessity of the line being available to others in need too.

It is a waste of tax payers money to an spend an excessive amount of time on one person who seems to be harassing the police department. I am not sure if they could really get in "trouble" unless they are falsely reporting. Otherwise, it is the duty of this public agency to assist no matter who or how many times a person calls.

If they are geniune questions you are putting there is no harm... and the police is trained to be patient.

If you are doing it for fun or making crank calls.. they will take action.

If you sound paranoid... they will send someone to help.
