Hey -- to quote Bon Jovi --
BETTER STAND TALL WHEN THEY'RE CALLING YOU OUT
DON'T BEND, DON'T BREAK, BABY, DON'T BACK DOWN
Remember,
IT'S YOUR LIFE
AND IT'S NOW OR NEVER
'CAUSE YOU AIN'T GONNA LIVE FOREVER
YOU JUST WANT TO LIVE WHILE YOUR ALIVE!!
Go to the concert and enjoy yourself. You'll be having a blast when your hub's co-workers are sitting on their (_!_) at home sucking down beer.

Not everyone is going to like the same kind of music....
Which is why there are so many genres of music out there.
Pay no attention to what others think about Bon Jovi. He's one of the few "80's" artists that are still enjoying a career, and putting out new music.
The fact that Bon Jovi didn't go the way of the dinosaurs, is a testament to the many fans he must have....
You'll be seeing plenty of Bon Jovi fans when you go to the concert, and you're gonna have tons of fun, too!
Don't let other people's worthless opinions prevent you from having a good time. Have fun at the show, and enjoy......that's the bottom line!
Rock on, babe!

A lot of the bands that I like to listen to are considered classic rock. There are lots of bands from the 80's that are still touring now. There's nothing wrong in my opinion with going to see a Bon Jovi concert because they still rock. I'm wanting to go see Def Leppard and Journey in concert next month, and they're both from the 80's.By the way, I'm 40 and I don't care for much new music nowadays.

I first started having my "fuddy-duddy" moments at around age 29. It was 1986, and I was working at a Girl Scout camp. The teenaged counselors seemed to listen to nothing but Janet Jackson and hip-hop. They didn't know who the Monkees were. Around the same time, I heard this man on television say that his young son said to him, "You mean Paul McCartney was in another band besides Wings?" (I'm happy to say that the youth of today--of 2006--seem to appreciate the Beatles.)
Welcome to the threshold of middle age! You're starting to cross into that netherworld called "over 30", only you're feeling it a couple of years early. As for those people who said that you should have seen Bon Jovi twenty years ago...well, were you in a position to buy concert tickets when you were eight?
Enjoy the show!
BTW, imagine how old I feel, as a 49-year-old, to hear you call Bon Jovi "classic"!

Why do you care so much about what other people think? If you like Bon Jovi......which obviously millions of people still do....go to the concert and have a good time. Heck....I like Clay Aiken......and I'm about 20 yrs older than you! You think I care what people think..........not a chance!

ur husbands colleagues are acting like nitwits. there is nothing wrong with liking them. i like bon jovi and i am 13. people can like classics, and you can too. dont let what they say bother them. if bon jovi thought that no one still likied them, they wouldnt be doing a concert this month. they're doing it for loyal fans like you.
