It's going to take a ton of work, but they can do it...hopefully.

Well, any bill that gets passed through a Democratic run legislature would probably be vetoed by the President (as long as Bush is still there), so I say no. It will only get cleaned up when we get a new man in the White House. Republican or Democrat, he needs to be smart and ready to work with both sides to fix this mess. But you are right...it will take a lot of cleaning up.
And of course...somebody just had to turn this around to the "Blame Clinton Game."

If the dems win its not so much a victory for dems as a defeat for republicans (in fact, more of a defeat for Bush than the republican party at large). This means that people aren't voting for the dems because they think they represent anything; instead they're voting for them because they aren't republicans.
This is good to know because frankly the democrats haven't shown that they have any ideas. They're great complainers but as far as offering real alternatives they come up pretty short.
So no, if (and its still an if) the democrats win I don't think they'll clean up Bush's mess. And if the democrats win the presidency in 2008 with the candidates they've trotted out so far, I'd expect more problems in the future, not fewer.

such as you, i'm an self sustaining because of the fact i think that the political social gathering equipment in this united states of america has carried out no longer something different than sow partisanship on the two facets, leaving maximum human beings of human beings interior the middle with little or no representation. I genuinely have examine the posts to this question, and that i think which you and that i are the only actual thinking persons. Political events are actually not stated everywhere interior the USA shape. they are unconstitutional. The political equipment of this united states of america is up on the industry to the optimum bidder of the two social gathering. that's no longer the way the Founding Fathers designed the equipment, or a minimum of wrote approximately it interior the form. Obviously you're just taking a swipe at the President and not actually asking a question. What you obviously refuse to recognoze is that Bush is cleaning up Clinton's mess. Due to Clinton's capitulation and caving in to extortion, North Korea thinks it can saber-rattle and get money and attention from the UN and the US. Due to Clintons misuse and distain for the military, his marital distractions and fear of international opinion, the Al-quaida attacks on the US embassies in Africa, the attack on the USS Cole in the port of Yeman, his refusal to support the Rangers in Somalia and his general do-nothing approach to all interantional crisis lead our overseas enemies to believe the US was soft, weak, unwilling and unable to defend itself or defend it's interests through out the world.
I think you don't know what you're talking about and are just another media brain-washed, short sighted Bush hater who needs to go back and learn something about Clinton's record and the effects of what he did global instability and how it has created so many of the events that Bush must now clean up.

Every politician leave a path of destruction for the next to clean up. Even good presidents like Abe left a hellacious mess for Andrew Johnson to "clean up" Yeah the civil war was over but the country was in disarray and the years to follow was economic chaos. So they all leave messes no matter how good or bad of a president they are.

No I don't think so it will take a long time for anything that George W. Bush messed up to be straightened up. And that is a fact when you look at all the things that has happened with the war, and with domestic issues it will be a hard task for the next President to clear up all the mistakes that were made including the one with Iraq and other foreign issues. So my answers is a stern and solid no!

What mess be more specfic? Also I do not think the democrats will pick up seats they lack a platform, that is why Bush won his election. Kerry was like a little baby crying screaming and changing his mind ever 4 seconds.

It's going to take a long time, but at least they can get started. Electing a Democratic president in '08 will help as well. Bush has done irreperable damage to this country and it can't be corrected overnight.

No, david c, it will be quite impossible to clean up anything with Bush still in power. The only way is if they win enough votes to impeach him. There will still be a repuglican president but he may be less apt to make so many horrific mistakes.
