Well, we typically portray them as people who speak with english accents, live in England, and drink tea ritualistically. They also enjoy comedy that we are not able to appreciate. They used to wear red coats and fight with us when we rebelled, but now we are more mature and can stand on our own.

They are ok by me.

Remember I'm saying what I think the typical American thinks: I think the typical American view of England is extremely positive. We admire the courage the English showed in WW2, we are thankful for the Common Law, the literature, the language, and a lot of basic values.

For the English people, I think that Americans probably tend to think of the English people as stuffy, proper, too unemotional, too controlled, too unpassionate. Our movies and TV shows almost always support that stereotype. I visited England and know that the English people are if anything a little more relaxed, kick back, and fun loving than Americans. Its a nice country.

Not saying any of this is true, but the typical American view of the English, I believe, is: snobby and arrogant, awful cooks, no sense of humor (er, humour...) whatsoever, frumpy, drunkards.

Sorry!!! Again, I'm not saying I think this, but this is the typical stereotype.

I envy English people. Life seems to be better there than in the U.S. I know crime and poverty is everywhere, but really, really bad things seem to happen to the U.S. that don't happen to other countries (such as England). I know the subway bombing was pretty bad, but that's one example and happened over a year ago. How many subway bombings happen in the U.S.? One a day, a week? Too many, if you ask me.

I also envy English weather.

Overall, I like English people. Have no beefs with them.

i think of that maximum human beings are too busy to take a seat and attempt to conjure up a view of an English guy. We see them sometimes portrayed in one among those techniques on the media, so i think of we'd in all possibility say that English adult men are available many varieties.

I believe most Americans believe the English are cool, much funnier than Americans, have wonderful traditions that America lacks, have a certain refinement that America doesn't, and have been a very, very good friend to America - standing by us even when it wasn't easy to do so.

I adore English people. I've had the good fortune to travel to the UK a few times and London is one of my favorite places. I always get the feeling though, that my love is unrequited....I don't feel particularly well liked as an American!

Kinda like our poorer cousins, but ones that grew up well off, so they are more sophisticated and mannered.

I'm not kidding! I love the English!

What's the deal with the teeth?
