Yes, he made a mistake 40 years ago, but he keeps getting reelected, so he must be doing something right.

Will he ever be redeemed in the eyes of the public? Or will the poor guy always be the butt of jokes and object of ridicule?

it was up to him. he let a girl die, lied about it, stayed a drunk, raised a drunk family, fleeces the American people, and he is the example of a good democrat.

Ted Kennedy has two brothers that were murdered in the name of America, John Kennedy President, and Robert Kennedy Attorney General with his war on crime. These men were so outstanding in their careers and to the American Public that I shudder when people don't know of them. John Jr., who was killed in a plane crash a few years back, had he asked, would have been given the office of the President on a silver platter.

Now Ted, when his judgement day comes, is going to have hell to pay in comparisons of his legacy to his brothers and nephew.

Ted, who is now the patriach of the Kennedy family, will only be a footnote on a blister of American History. No matter how hard he tries we will not fall not will we compromise in our resovle.

You can look at my answers and see that I have bashed him quite hard.

With that being said I have seen and heard some interviews with him and I am really begining to respoect him. I could not agree more with his ideas on clean elections. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_Elections) He believes he is acting in this countries best interest. I do not agree with alot that comes out of his mouth but I am begining to respect him as a political leader.

He's a scum bag. It's people like him and Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumacher that give the Democratic Party a bad reputation.

He has the unsavory job of balancing the senate. If you think about it, republicans created him, and as long as there are extremists on the one side, there will be a need for extremists on the other side. Besides, like him or not, all Americans KNOW who he is, so I guess he's doing his job.

Personally I believe he's a misunderstood mental giant, pretending to be a drunk.

The truth will out, just as it has about the tragic death of his brother, the other brother, his nephew etc.
