Yes, there are a lot of trivial or misdirected questions here. But I have found a few worthwhile questions which I have taken the time to answer properly; doing so was quite rewarding, and the askers seemed to appreciate the effort.
I think that a lot of simpler (and/or poorly spelled) questions are actually quite good questions to answer; I don't mind pointing out false assumptions occasionally if it will force the asker to think more about the nature of the question that they are asking and whether they truly want to know the answer.

Yes, I am having a hard time, but I am only looking for questions on the home page. I suspect going into the specific areas that are interesting to me will be helpful.
All in all, this is still fun!

The key to answering questions is to go to the areas you find more interesting to you. There are oodles of categories to choose from and many different and thought provoking questions can be found. Keep searching and you will find something soon.

I so agree with you. I have gone into so many categories trying to find something to answer and have not found much. I really don't see much.
