The thing is to tilt your head back, put one hand on your lower lid and pull down a little and then quickly put one in. Practice doing this without the contact first til you are not blinking then try it for real.

Just hold your eye open with your thumb and forefinger and look up and place them on your eye. They will stay if they are wet enough. It takes a little practice. Maybe you can ask for 15 or 30 day contacts so you only have to change them every 2 weeks or so if it is really that hard for you.

some people have a lot of trouble with contacts, dont be nervous, just pop them in! i have pretty big eyes so I just pop them in and i am ready to go, some people are slower at it, just slightly touch your eye and once you know the contact sticks you your eye, blink slowly, try to close your eye as well and rub your eyelid to make sure it stays in

you also need to hold your eye open with your fingers so that if you blink it won't mess you up

good luck! it'll get easier with practice

If you blink and they come out, you have not placed them on your eye good enough. You have to hold your eye open, place it in and then you blink to get the air bubbles out. Another possible reason is that they are the wrong size for your eyes or you could have a big air bubble under them.

Hands just washed and towel dried.
Wet, but not dripping wet contact.
Do not take the contact out of the solution with the same finger you are going to use to put it in.

Quit using the mirror. I've worn contacts for 25+ years...I still blink if I try to use a mirror.

Hope this helps.

Just keep trying, you will get it eventually. Try to get someone who wears them to show you what to do. I don't think it can be described in words.

You will have to get used to the idea that something is touching your eyeball, which is kind of odd at first. Use lots of lubricant to keep the eyes from getting dry. Dryness makes them uncomfortable.

Good luck! And congrats on your freedom from glasses!

I wore glasses/contacts for many many years and got lasik surgery a couple of years ago. Now THAT's freedom!

It's going to be a little hard at first, but once you get used to them you'll be able to put them directly on your cornea and not even blink! Just hold you eye open and pop 'em in.

Unfortunately, when you first get contacts that's what it's like. Just keep trying -- you'll get it. I've worn soft lenses for 24 years (!) and I remember vividly sitting there for HOURS trying to get the dang things in.

If you just can't take it anymore, ask the person who fitted you for them to put them in for you so your eyes can get used to having them in a little -- that might help.

you'll get used to it, after a while you wont even blink and it only takes 30 seconds to put them in, keep practicing, I was like that when I first got mine and i have had them for almost a year and I love them, I hate glasses, but yeah keep practicing and you;ll get it.

this is what i usually do....
1st go in front of a mirror
of course wash ur hands to keep the dirt from getting in contact with ur eyes...
Now, take ur index finger and ur thumb to hold back ur eyelids((it may sound weird but trust me it works!)) then take ur opposite index finger, place the contact on it, and softly press it against ur eye....It helps if stand close to a mirror just to get a good look...
make sure the contact is also moist enough to stay on your eye, to prevent it from popping back out.
