Depends on the amount. I was made redundant and i spent mine on doing up my flat. In hindsight, I wish i'd spent it on a relaxing holiday or (boring, boring) paying off my debts in order to give me financial freedom - i am still paying back my debts now and will continue to do so for a very long time.......

i'm rather certain once you've cost reductions over £3000 you won't be able to declare advantages, how they bypass about checking that is yet another count number. a minimum of this changed into the case very last time i changed into unemployed. i'm staring down the redundancy barrel myself yet do not have any journey of this. good success.

Your normal bills until you have found another job.
Once you have another job then have a field day and spend it on whatever you wish - would recommend securing a job that starts in one months time and taking a nice holiday.

Good luck

depends on the amount ...but if you want a decent pension ,save some to a pension plan or invest in gov.bonds or the least put 30 grand away in premium bonds..only down side with that is unless you win you don't gain anything..but when cashing in comes you get back wot u paid in...don't blow it....you will regret it ..i know plenty who wish they had..

save it so you aren't totally broke if you don't get another job soon. Then when you have a new income spend it on some new clothes for your new job, a haircut and some new make-up.
