Are antibiotics all the same? I took all my RX for an ear infection that has come back. Can I take a RX of antibiotics that a doctor gave me when I stepped on a nail? Will that work?

probably. Google the name of the RX and if it says it is a "general antibiotic" then yes, but you have to take a full dose (almost 2 weeks) for it to cure your ear infection, especially if its a bad one. If you don't, it will be harder to cure the next time you get one (your body will develop immunity to the antibiotic)... and you will get another one if you haven't fully cured the first. Bacteria just continues to grow and grow.

Certain medicines do different things for each illness. No i don't think that will work, You may need some drops for your ears and some amoxacilin to help clear up the infection, and some pain medicine if it is hurting.

i always get those just go to the doctor have him/her check it out and they will give you ear drops.......or you can use the cheap method and get baby oil out it in the ear that's infected and take a cotton ball and put it in the ear....so that no air will get to it
