It depends on your own circumstances, income etc. Its a great place to raise a family. Lots of fun for young people. Relaxing for older people. If you have the money a house and a car it's great. I currently live in the US and Cyprus compares a bit better I think because of much less crime and more equalitarian society.

Been there on holiday and it was very nice - although my bf that was there for six months (working for the UN) says it's the shittest place he's ever been - too much taxes and stuff like that!
