They say it is because of the bible but the bible also states that a man should be stoned to death for laying next to a women while he is menstating. They do that now a days.

Bible is a joke and people who so called "follow it" are jokes too.
If its not your home, why should it bother you. But, people (bible people mainly) can't live their own life.

people are generally afraid of what they don't understand. Kind of like things that go bump in the night, once you find out what it is it does not scare you anymore. As long as people refuse to be open minded there will always be opposition to Gay marriages and civil unions (which by the way are two different things)

Yeah, I don't really get it either, why anyone thinks it's wrong. I think people feel threatened by it, but that is their own ignorance, fear of the unknown. I hope people can become more accepting and enlightened.
