Yes, you can have sex while having your period. There seems to be a slight increase in chances of getting a uterine infection, although this is debatable. The chances of pregnancy are very slim if the woman has regular periods, however if you are irregular, the chances are higher although still very low.

Menstruation is the shedding of lining of the uterus, approximately once a month during a normal ovulatory (menstrual) cycle. Normal pregnancy requires an intact uterine lining where a fertilized egg can begin to grow. And so the simplest answer to the question is: because the uterine lining breaks down and is shed during menstruation it is nearly impossible to get pregnant at that time.
The ovulation cycle .... or menstrual cycle ... in women is fairly complex from the biological point of view. Many changes take place during this cycle, and in extremely unusual and rare instances abnormal things can happen. For example, a fertilized egg can begin to develop outside of the uterus if it gets stuck in a fallopian tube (this anatomical structure was first described by the Italian biologist Gabriele Fallopio in the mid-16th Century). The fallopian tubes normally carry a fertilized egg from the ovaries to the uterus where it becomes embedded in the uterine lining ("endometrium") and develops there during about nine months. However, in very rare instances when a fertilized egg gets stuck in a fallopian tube (called a tubal pregnancy) or doesn't even begin to travel down the tube to the uterus, and THEN begins to develop (called an "ectopic prganancy") the rules get changed. I added these comments as an illustration of normal and abnormal for making clear that the simple answer, above, is just that.
Generally, a woman does not get pregnant during menstruation. During menstruation that is what usual happens. But there can be rare exceptions to this. When such exceptions occur, a woman may ask, "how could this happen to me?"

Yes to the first question as long as you are comfortable doing it and your partner does'nt mind..although, it can be quite messy, i would say the best place while on it?( I used to get cramps and when i did it on my period they completely went away..kinda like an internal massage! lol!) ..the best place to do it is the shower, or at least a quick shower after sex just to stay clean. Basically it comes down to being a personal preference whether or not to do it while on it..Some find it to be gross, while others find it enjoyable because it takes away the stress, cramps, headaches,and basically just relaxes the body..releases the natural endorphins...thats a good thing.
To the second question?..Yes, you CAN still get pregnant..be careful and still practice safe sex no matter how messy.

Yes if your man doesn't mind to get his Red Wings and yes your always at risk to get pregnant even if you use protection the only safe sex is after you have had your tubes tide and burnt or you have had a hysterectomy

Yes you can get pregnant but if you have regular periods it's unlikely. Remember though that sperm can live inside the vagina for up to 6 days after ejaculation.

That is the safest time, as everything will get flushed out. Just a little messy and not all guys will go for that
It is often the time women are horniest (the other time is when they are ovulating, which is the most dangerous time, getting pregnant wise).

You probably can get pregnant, but mention the 'p' - word to about any normal guy, and he'll suddenly not really be in the mood any more, and just feel like a hug..

uuuummmmmm.......... yea u can but i would b short of nasty cuz u would get blood all on ur partner or partnerz but u might get pregnant 2 though i dont know u should ask a doctor on dat 1 but if u do it 4rm da back and u got a tampon on u fine just dont go 2 long b4 changin ur tampon cuz i know how it b so good and u get destacted and u 4get bout alot of stuff

yes it is messy but it still feels great and yes you can get pregnant but it is less likly. Always use a condom
