The greatest hoax is the 2004 election. That being said, what exactly is your question? Either one of two things has to happen, either marriage should be religous only, with no benefits provided by the government, you know like tax breaks, medical decisions, pension carryover, no more divorce courts, marriage licenses and countless other things, or let everybody have the same rights ending the bigotry against homosexuals, in this area.

No,it gives people a way to express their love in a formal setting and to obtain certain legal rights.
Your insinuation that a childless wedding is pointless is a slap in the face for every hetero couple as well who can not or choose not to have children.
For the first group your comments must be very pain full.
So my suggestion, think before you speak or ask a question on yahoo.

I think Britney Spears already made a mockery of marriage that can't be outdone by anyone and now she's trying to make a mockery of motherhood.

And something tells me that gays and lesbians had little to do with the 50% divorce rate in this country, and that doesn't speak too well for this "sacred" institution.

Well it's not exactly what God intended, no, but in the grand scheme of things does it really matter?

B.J.'s, handjobs, and masturbation are pointless, too(from the procreation standpoint it seems you are taking). So, what's your point?
