The younger one is absolutely gorgeous! :) Actually, he's a very tragic character. He started out being such a good person with good heart. I do blame the Jedi council for him being turned to the "dark side." From the modern Human Resource (HR) standards, they had a very poor policy. Had they let him protect his mother at the moment he had that feeling, it wouldn't have come to that.
In the government, secret service people are assigned to the ones loved by the president so he can do his job without worrying sick about the ones he love. It's human nature and the Jedi council had unreasonable expectation from a boy they got at a much older age than usual.
But, of course, it's Anikin's growing dissatisfaction with the Council that turned him into Sith, which allowed him to get close enough to the Sith Lord to finally destroy him.
ANyway, to conclude, my feeling for Vader is that of sympathy.

He was a whiner in Episodes 1 through 3. I didn't see him giving Amidala any reason to fall in love w/ him. He wasn't all that cute for being a bit of a self-absorbed brat. It must have been the old Jedi mind trick.

I liked his character a lot more before Hayden Christenson (sp) ruined it. I liked him being a dark, cruel, yet somewhat tragic character. The new ones made him into a whiny brat, selfish even. He went from an intergalactic bad-a** into a self important butthead.

He's awesome. Bit of info: He was sort of inspired by Magneto from the early comict of the Fantastic Four.

Hes a awesome fighter, and a$$hole, not a very good parent, sounds one way and looks another..lol...( In the first trilogy )
