I think my favorite movie is "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. It is a beautifully quaint and innocent film about an Irish-American who returns to Ireland in search of redemption and a new life. Best of all, the Irish countryside is lovely in this film. And, many of the secondary characters in this film are actual residents of the village where this movie was filmed. By the way, Maureen O'Hara is stunning as the young Irish spitfire that John Wayne courts.

My favorite movie is "Coming to America" starring Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. It was released in the late '80s I believe. Not only was the movie roll on the floor hillarious, but it depicted Africans and African Americans as intelligent, elegant, and beautiful people instead of criminals and losers. There are so many classic scenes in that movie and you don't have to be African or African-American to enjoy them. Many of my white friends still quote that movie to this day!

AMERICAN HISTORY X

I think that no matter where you live or what your opinions are this movie really hits head on for a lot of people. You'll start off with one opinion in the beginning and completely switch in the end! Awesome!

Amelie. It's cute and whimsical, and tells a story in a different manner than most films. Just a feel good movie about life that leaves me smiling when it ends

Casino.

It has sex, violence, redemption, money, a fall from grace, every aspect of human experience. Plus how can you go wrong with that cast? James Woods! Sharon Stone before Sharon Stone sucked! DeNiro! I mean, really. Plus I love Vegas. And the smart dialogue, like:

"For guys like me, Las Vegas washes away your sins. It's a morality car wash. It does for us what Lourdes does for humpbacks and cripples."

"Labyrinth" - because I have many young memories of the movie and the moral is excellent: Careful what you wish for.

Otherwise, I like any movie with Johnny Depp. However, unlike many, I wasn't into Pirates of The Caribbean as much as I thought I'd be. "Benny & Joon" and "Blow" are his best movies in my opinion.
