I would like to have two, and both with in two years. It is allot better to have kids that can play together at ages 3-14. Thy also can use some of the same items as they grow. An only child can get spoiled and not want to leave the home. If you have there then the middle child can have issues with Not being the oldest and not being the baby. Less attention and middle child will act out to get it. Today the cost of having a child in a hospital can be $8.000 - $100.000+ so two is a big risk anyway. Kids are the life of a family and you should have kids. I have one step son- age 28. Wish I have two more!

I don't have kids right now, but do plan on having them in the distant future. The perfect number for me would be between 2 and 3.

In the future I might change my mind, but as of right now, kids aren't something I want.

No sane person who is aware of the present conditions on this planet and of the global environmental crisis which has already begun all over the world and will eventually hit even the wealthiest nations; no such person would have any kids. Anyone who feels even remotely compelled to have kids, irrespective of the horrors that these kids will have to face during their lifetimes, would be advised to limit themselves to only one.

I always somehow knew that I wanted three children, knew it without really having to think about it.
I have four children. I guess should have gotten into the habit of thinking, huh?
On the other hand, the most important quality needed by a parent is the ability to accept one's lack of total control over life and to make the most of whatever one is given, so that fourth child, a rambunctious boy, helped me be a more skillful parent.

2 if it was 1 boy 1 girl, if I had 2 girls or 2 boys I might try to have a third of a different gender. But I'd cut it off at 3 most likely.

I have a three-year-old daughter, the light of my life. I'll have as many kids as God wants me to have, and if that means just my daughter then I'm completely satisfied with that :)
