You need compassion to close a deal because the buyer may not be able to afford your product

Hmm...sounds to me like you are not passionate about your product. If you have a product that starts that fire in your belly because you KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that it can help people, then rejection is not going to douse that fire. You will just keep up with the numbers game and keep trying because for every "no" you are one step closer to a "yes"! Positive attitude is very beneficial as well, but enthusiasm sells. When you KNOW in your heart that people can really benefit from your product, it will come across to them.
Cold calling is difficult, does your company offer you free leads? These are pre-qualified people who have expressed an interest in having a home business or alternate stream of income.
Perhaps you should re-evaluate your product and company. Believe me, when you find the right product that fire will burn and will touch everyone you come into contact with! Watching your business grow daily is so rewarding and fans the flames!
