Damn, so much hatred for my Sonics. Don't listen to these morons. The Sonics are quite possibly in one of the best positions to be in for a young team. Sonics' GM, Rick Sund, is a genius. He formerly was responsible for turning crappy teams into great teams, like the Pistons and Mavericks. In the 80s, he was the first to start trading over-wrought veterans for draft picks and they only started sucking again when he left. Then, he was the one responsible for trading Grant Hill from the Pistons, when he was going to leave anyway, and landing Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins.

Sund is a genius, so have faith if you're a Sonics fan.

Anyway, as I said, the Sonics are in good shape. They have a two-deep, exciting young roster with significant cap room to maneuver if they need to. Frankly, I would do just what they've been doing. I'd pursue a trade for a guy like Kevin Garnett or Shawn Marion, but if I couldn't get one of those guys at the right cost I would sit tight. That's just what they did. Danny Forston's big salary is coming off the books in a year, so that should help free up cap space. Moreover, they should be able to re-sign Chris Wilcox this summer, because he's a restricted free agent so they can match any offer to him and the market for post players is getting dried up with the quick signing of Ben Wallace to Chicago and Nene to Denver. Robert Swift and Johan Petro are only 20 and 21 and both are improving each game. Their draft pick, though controversial, was not a bad pick at all. Mouhamed Saer Sene is very raw, but the other guys they considered, specifically Ronnie Brewer and Rodney Carney are really overrated. This was a weak draft and to get a guy with the potential of Sene is not a bad gamble. Also, their second round pick is really turning out to be a surprise (Denham Brown) and shoots the ball better than they expected. Moreover, last year's second round pick is said to be as good as a late lottery pick this year (Mikael Gelebele) and they've just signed him.

So, things are looking good. Right now, I would sit tight after re-signing Wilcox and see how this team plays.

Depth Chart:

C. Robert Swift - Johan Petro - Mouhamed Saer Sene
F. Chris Wilcox - Nick Collison - Mikki Moore - Danny Fortson
F. Rashard Lewis - Damien Wilkins
PG. Luke Ridnour - Earl Watson
G. Ray Allen - Mikael Gelebele - Denham Brown

That's their roster of 14 (they took out the IL position a year or two ago so now rosters are 14 deep). After they got Wilcox and Watson last season, they went 14-11 with a tough schedule. That's really promising. If things go awry, they have the ability to make deals and they dont' want to screw that up by making a deal prematurely that doesn't help their roster.

I would get players that drive to the basket more often. The Sonics hit more threes than free throws.

Old roster:
C Johan Petro
PF Chris Wilcox
SF Rashard Lewis
SG Ray Allen
PG Luke Ridnour

New Roster
C Johan Petro
PF Chris Wilcox
SF Josh Howard
SG Ray Allen
PG Jameer Nelson

Try and trade for Allen Iverson to stir up the line up and see what happens. If I get lucky then I can keep my job and make more money. If it doesn't work, I was going to get fired anyway so it wouldn't matter. But I would NOT tell anyone what I was thinking cause that definitly would get me fired.

HEY! I heard that the Sconics are getting bought by an Oklahoma City group and they might even be moving there. I don't know if that would help them or not.

I would try my hardest to keep Chris Wilcox and definetly keep Ray Allen and let Earl Watson and Luke Ridnour share the point gaurd position.

first i would get a defenive coach, that team laks defence, get some defence players as draft picks. with radmonovich rey allen and rashard lewis they could all score, but they need defence, take out rashard even though he is good and get a defensive pg that can score. also get a defensive center and a scoring pf. then i got a good team

the most ideal translation is "j'aime manger du fromage" you take advantage of "le" if you're pertaining to a specif type of cheese. "Du" is used once you're pertaining to cheese in most circumstances.
