At the age of 17, Laura Bush caused the death of a classmate in a car accident (http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/laura.asp). Why was she not cited for manslaughter?

I don't dislike Laura Bush. The facts are public record and are mentioned in the book "George and Laura: Portrait of an American Marriage".

It's a LEGAL question folks. A friend's son was in the same situation and eventually cleared but had to get an attorney.

Sorry, I should have put it in the "Law" category but overlooked that one.

I mention the Hillary Clinton question just because it seemed like she would probably still be answering for it - although I realize that she is in public office and therefore that may be appropriate.

What the creepy Kennedy's have done has nothing to do with this question.

She wasn't drinking, it was an accident, she and her friend in the car were also both taken to the hospital. The friend in the other car did not have on a seat belt and was killed when thrown from the car. It was an accident. That is the reason she wasn't cited for manslaughter.

It was an accidental collision that killed her boyfriend. No drugs or alcohol was involved.

Try the real link below.

Can the same be said about Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy?

Check out this link on Ted Kennedy's son. The apple doesn't fall from the tree - does it?

So what?

It was investigated and turned out she did nothing wrong. These things happen all the time...they are called accidents. She reported it and it was investigated. Over and done with, unlike your buddy Ted Kennedy who covered up his MURDER. He left a woman for dead in his car, left the scene, and only reported it days later. Why aren't you talking about that?????

ou make a valid point.

The staple king is a fu**ing coward. He hasn't even got the stones to list an email address.

He brands Kerry a coward, when Kerry fought in a real war with bullets flying and everything. The staple king is a pu**y.

It's called car accident because it was an ACCIDENT. I am not a Bush fan but my god the woman was 17. Get over it.

Haven't the American people had enough of 'Bushes' in the White House?

And this is relevant to what exactly? Just another self-righteous justification for your irrational hatred of all things Bush?

Sheesh. This is neither news, nor is there anything controversial or criminal to it. Now if you wanted to talk about the Kennedys and their unpunished criminal actions while driving drunk...

Teenagers, especially girls, are awful drivers. It was probably a case of awful driving, nothing worth punishing her about.
