A top Government official just said they didn't put out any warnings, despite having been informed about the tsunami 45 minutes before it ocurred, because they believed they "wouldn't be eficient". talk about disrespect for Human life. At least 400 dead and counting...

I'm not saying it would be easy to warn everyone, but at least they could have tried. Damn! All it took was to pick up a phone and tell local authorities to evacuate the beaches. Most people died on Pangandaran beach (a touris resort)because they had no idea about what was comming...

Here's what Mr. Kusmayanto Kadiman, Indonesia's sci-tech minister told the press about the warnings received: "we did not announce them. If it [the tsunami] did not occur what would have happended"?

yes, the president is too busy taking away businesses from the people that are doing good and giving them to his kids to care about the rest of the country!

thats why each kid owns over 100 businesses!

they should start by giving them back, everytime they fail to alert the public, more businesses get returned to the founders

Who would put them on trial-the UN? Hmmm I dunno, I don't see how this is any different than the US not warning about Pearl Harbor & THAT was an attack from other humans NOT a natural disaster. I'm not too sure a warning would have efficiently saved lives anyways. Very sad though & the loss of so many human lives is devastating to the Indonesian government.

If the Indonesian government should face trial, so should the US for Hurricane Katrina and their lack in getting people evacuated. Live and Learn from your mistakes. Maybe you should go over there and make a plan for them when tsunami's happen. It isn't as easy as it sounds, esp. when there is a lack of communications.
