You're going to have to wait untill after the baby is born & request a paternity test. I commend you for wanting to be in your child's life.

In the UK, you have none. Whilst the baby is inside the woman all scans and notes are considered part of the woman's medical record and as such are confidential. Once the baby is born, as you are unmarried I'm afraid you still have no rights. You can't even demand to be on the birth certificate. I beleive this is unfair in a society where marriage is no longer so popular but that's how it is.

What country are you in? That's important when you asking these kind of questions!!! America is totally different. UK you have none. I agree with this even though I have no children, too many men live together etc, to avoid commitment and as a result lose their rights. May be it's might make some men think about the child before themselves when it comes to marriage.

You sound caring, but your pregnant girlfriend will be vunerable now, and if you are asking what rights you have, I hope this is not a method of control. She needs to look after herself and may be for a while without the pressure of you.

You have no rights before the child is born, however, if she is not getting the proper prenatal care you could take her to court. This being said, it is very time consuming and expensive. If she is this combative now you are most likely going to have a heck of a time getting to see the baby after it is born. Get ready for a messy custody, visitation, and child support battle. Good luck, I hope she will appreciate a man who wants to be involved.

until the baby is born you have no right.
in Romania you have the right to take the mother of you child an put her in court, for the judge to admit you are the father, then you ask for a certain schedule to visit the child.
you can also ask custody, but it is very unlike to win it, because the mother is alive and willing to raise the kid.

all. me and my husband had our child before we got married and the doctors had warned us ahead of time that if we split before the child was born that my husband (at the time fiancia) had just as many rights as i did and he could fight for custody right and get our son as soon as our son was born. well, the doctor had to tell us everything, and it was scary to think that and me and my husband were just fine at the time, but still, the doctor didnt know that and he just wanted everything out in the open.
