I am a Hurricane Katrina suvivor. Anyone else?

Question

I went through Hurricane Katrina on the roof of my house in D'Iberville, MS (near Biloxi, MS). Anyone else? Where from and where were you during the storm?

I live in downtown New Orleans. I stayed for the hurricane. I have a second floor apartment with a balcony. I am one of the few who didn't lose everything in the flood, because of that.

In a small town about 30 miles north of you. We stayed in our home for the storm. We were very lucky as far as damaged to the property. We had a tree take out the back corner of our house. When the weather let up, we stayed outside under the carport or on the front porch. I could not stand being inside for some reason. My Mother, who stayed at home in Carriere, and I have talk about not seeing any of the big trees go down. She sat on her back porch most of the time. We had 15 trees down on an acre and a half, but we only actually seen 2 of them go down. The one in the house and another one that just keep on leaning till it hit the ground. I ask a question this morning about people's relationships, how had they changed since the storm. It is strange and scarey how people have changed. People are getting divorced and seperated right and left up here. People have had affairs that you would have never dreamed of. This storm brought in some kind of evil presence, or we just are so shell shocked till we don't care anymore. I wish you well, and sure glad that you made it. I'm a hurricane Andrew survivor...1992 Homestead Fl...no phone or electricity for 6 month that was the worst.

I was in Ivan and caught the *** end of Katrina. I was just outside Mobile, AL

no but i live in florida and after katrina im sooo scared about this hurricane season...im soo sorry for all your loss and i hope we can make it through this season unharmed...
