It depends upon which plan you select when you activate your phone. You can pick the always $0.25 a minute plan or the $1.00 for any one day you use the phone then $0.10 a minute for each call that day. On the $1.00 a day plan any calls made to or received from another cingular phone are free. I switched to a go phone and went from around $80.00 a month average with Nextel [and NEVER went over--it was a $49.99 a month plan with all the fees and taxes] and now I have spent maybe $80.00 on my go phone in the last 6 months. It was worth the investment for me.
