how often, it depends, some people do it few times a day while some once per month, all depends from needs.

Hi Jackass.
I am a woman aged 40 and until recently was not able to masturbate solo to orgasm. I have now found that if my lover talks to me (over the phone) whilst I am masturbating, I can experience an orgasm most times in about 2-3 minutes. I don't use any aids for this.
I also talk him to orgasm over the phone.
We usually talk at least once a day.
