C'mon you must have noticed the steady slip towards a really shitty planet right know is it time we all just increaseed the peace a wee bit an got along stopped looking at why were different from each other and started to cut each other a little slack? Ok so the jews have funny little hats and muslims like to cover themselves up and the iranese have never one a game of football but can't we all jus get along for the kids an the puppy's an that?

Rest assured. Nothing is basically wrong with the world today or the world coming. Compared to the present upheavals the First and the Second World wars were more worrying propositions. But things transpired and we came out of both and are fumbling our way to a better world. The UNO is definitely better and stronger than the Leage of Nations. The removal of the Red threat from the world which at one time threatened to upset the entire world is a recent pheniminon and that should reassure us.The emergencce of USA as the single most powerful nation was not a healthy development. However, with the emergence of China and India the balance will stabilise by and by. Irag, Afghanistan are the remants of problems of the past age. It was USA which had helped Iraq hoping that it would emerge as a counter to the rising Iran. In case of Afghanistan also it was Ameriica which propped the Taliban as a couner to the Russian occupation. After the liberation of Afghanistan also the USA should have continued to associate with it and its development.As it is it washed its hands off and the Taliban filled in the vacuum. You may know that Al Quaida which is not painted as the world threat was actually surberviant to American interest in the Agghan struggle. The about turn of both Iraq and Afghanistan were at least partly due to this failure to appreciate the politiiial situation at the proper time. However, both these issues will also settle down.Iraq is already on the way and Afghanistan is also not far behind. The liberal lobby in USA is catching up.The emergence of counterweights like China and India will also help in stalising the situation.The outward dissimilarities among people are just excuses for justifying the struggles and the fighters are deceiving nobody except themselves with such 'terrorist' arguments. Israel has also come to stay. Most of the Arab opposition to it Egypt,Iraj,Syria ,Palestine is no more as effective as they were earlier.

Not that new strugles may not raise their heads but then the tank whose waters are eternally placid is a tank of rotting water.

Live and let live should be the motto of the day, but most people refuse to see that. Everyone wants to think that their way is the only way. Even in the US, the so called "land of the free", we can't get this right. Laws that keep us from infringing on someone else's freedoms are fine, but when they start keeping people from life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that is where we've gone wrong. How can we set an example for other countries when we can't even follow it ourselves?

If you really want to understand and are serious rather than just blowing hot air to anyone who will listen, everyone, including me needs to go back to family values and morals. The single biggest breakdown in American is the family unit. The foundation of America's generations has been disintegrating about 45 yrs, since the mid 60's and came to a complete meltdown about 1975-77. Since then every generation has become more and more materialistic, egotistical, impatient and have completely ignored what history has proven that worked: Family values and morals.
Don't think this has nothing to do with the world... who runs the world, or in this case our country anyway? People. And these very people have families who were raised in the family unit, were they not? Now they are grown and have taken on the cultural expectations of their generation and the generation of the almighty dollar.
Everything comes full circle in life. You may or may not be old enough to understand that, but it does. A poor but real example is the so called, "low rise" pants worn today. These pants originally called, "hip huggers" when they FIRST CAME OUT IN THE EARLY/MID 60'S. Full circle. While I know that is a poor example it should get your mind clicking in the genre of this post. Tolerance has not improved, much to the chagrin of politicians. In the majority, young adults have been raised to believe that they walk on water, hold no accountability for their actions, and think that the world owes them a living is one integral reason for the low levels of tolerance against cultures and people. I have no doubt what-so-ever that many of you reading this will cuss, scream, call me whatever, but you need to really think about what I am saying here.
Are there decent hardworking young people who have a level of integrity? OF COURSE THERE ARE....
I am refering to the majority, not the MINORITY.
If we start at the home level with young children going back to the family values and morality concerns that were prevelant during the mid and late 1950's, and couple that with the technological advances and opportunities afforded us in the 21st century can you just imagine the respect, pride, integrity that we as Americans would have??? We would hold ourselves above a level of debauchery that exsists today.
The minute we took God, and family values out of the schools, all hell broke loose.
I WENT TO A PUBLIC SCHOOL AS A KID. IT DIDN'T HURT ME OR OTHERS "ONE LITTLE BIT" TO HAVE TO BEND OUR HEAD IN PRAYER, OR SAY THE PLEDGE EVERY SINGLE MORNING.
For the record.... I do not prescribe to any religious doctrine, I do not go to any church, I am not rich, and I can cuss like a sailor. I don't care what color you are, I don't care who you sleep with as long as it isn't me.
I ONLY CARE how you as a human being are regarding your own self respect. When you have self respect, you can't help but respect all those around you, hence society as a whole. You hold yourself accountable, no one will have to force you. You earn your way with integrity and hold human life with highest regard. You appreciate the life that God gave and you work hard to honor it.
Family values that were taught...gone ... And these are bad???
We need to bring them back in the worst way....
I also know someone out there is going to claim that "that" generation and time was full of problems, damn right there were problems. I will take those anyday over the problems plagueing society today.
I would love not to have to lock my car doors to avert a possible car jacking. I would love to sleep with the windows open instead of locked with my gun on the nightstand praying I don't have to use it. I would love to stop and help the guy in the subway in New York who was attacked without worring about being sued. I would be glad to give a hitchiker a ride stuck out in the middle of nowhere without worring if he will kill me, steal from me.
