As hard to believe as it is - it's cheaper to shop for designer stuff here than in Europe. You have to pay a VAT there, which usualy runs around 15-22%.
If you buy for a large enough amount, they will give you a piece of paper to get stamped at the airport, so you can have the tax amount returned to you, but it is still more expensive than here.
Their prices are higher and Euro is very strong right now.

You have to pay a luxury tax when you come back into the US... It is still expensive over there...
