Lots of people answering that don't know what they are talking about!
Most snakes lay eggs but some are ovoviviparous which means the baby snakes are born from eggs that are hatched from within the body ie live birth - but different from mammalian live birth. Most boas have live birth.
I don't know of any poisonous snakes but there are many venomous snakes! Poisonous & venomous are 2 different thing! Rattlesnakes are venomous but not poisonous!
Many rattlesnakes are ovoviviparous. There are many different famalies of venomous snakes - I am not for sure if all venomous snakes are ovoviviparous or not!
Good question! Needs more research!

Some lay eggs while some have their young live. Actually the young hatch inside the mother and the soft egg coverings are expelled later. All baby snakes are born ready for action with fangs and venom.
