he likes me but i can only be his friend he said he understand but he like to talk to me and walk with me .And when i need help he'll help me all the time but when he starts talking i can't stand it he talk in the way that make me down and say he's great. i told him that but it's like he cant change it i can't be crul tell him to leave me alone . coz i know he 's a good man inside but i feel i hate him already what should i do?

Spend much less time with him. There's nothing worse than being with a negative person. No matter how you're feeling, spending time with someone negative will bring you down.

You feel sorry for him. You pity him. So when you say you can only be his friend you are still feeling sorry for him. You do not want to be his friend. You can't. You are not strong enough to be honest (that's what you call cruel), so you go along with the farce. At the end, when you get fed up, you will be really cruel. Do you want to wait?

I think you better stay with him as friends rather than a love affair, because at the former you might not get all the good things you're having now with him.

I don't quite understand. He makes you feel down because he's melancholy, or because he acts like he's better than you?
If he makes you feel down because he's melancholy, be a good friend and talk to him about it, he probably wants to change, he just needs a reason and a way.
If he makes you feel down because he thinks he's cooler than you, tell him to *expletive* off.

The best thing to do is make it clear to him you just want to be friends. Then let him choose whether he wants to have you in his life or not. But you have to make it 100% clear you don't want anything more than a friendship.
