at home i have this thermometer compass thing and on it it reached101 f which i think its 38c it was in countesthorpe in leicester in england it works because i've seen it move it was outside in the garden today so is it right

mine is showing 37 in the shade - i guess its right

It feels that hot, even though it's probably not right. I think the temp in Leicester has maxed at 30c so far today, but prediction was 29c High, 15c Low

Probably right especially if it is near glass which will reflect heat back and make it hotter

You have to measure the temperature out of direct or reflected sunlight.

you cant take the temp in the sun .
you must do it in the shade
