My best friend and I called her baby "bean", because that is exactly what she looked like in her first ultrasound... a tiny little kidney bean. I still call her bean and I probably always will. So if you are going to give your baby a nickname, make sure your child will be able to live with it. You'll be calling your child that for the rest of your life. Good luck, God bless and best wishes!

We called our baby "The Kid" while I was pregnant. I hate the way some folks refer to a baby while in the womb as "it". We didn't start with pronouns until we were 100% sure we were having a boy.

This depends on the activity level of the baby. If really active, Bouncer, if sedate mommies precious little angel. My sweet baby. My little darling. Mama's baby.

My favorite was Bean and when my daughter was born that was her 'pretend' middle name. We had so many ultrasounds with her and she always looked like a Bean :)
If and when you find out the sex you can start calling your baby by the name you chose for it...its always good for them to hear it in utero.
