I did read this and found it a very strange and disturbing book, perhaps I was too young to cope with it at the time I tried it.

Picked it up at the library because I'd read and loved another Jill Paton Walsh book, "Parcel of Patterns" which was about that little town called Eyam which completely isolated itself when plague was discovered there, to prevent it from spreading any further.

If you can handle some pretty frank sexual scenes, and a rejection of conventional religion, you might like "Knowledge of Angels". It's well written.

No. But I did like 'Angels, Angels, Angels' by Billy Graham.
