Roughly around 40K X Russian Rouble/USD exchange rate, i.e. 40K x approx. 28 roubles per 1 USD = 1,120,000 in roubles per year. Depending on the cost of living, I would agree with the prev. response that your would live like a king there. A douzen of eggs - 50 roubles, 1 load of bread - 35 roubles, 1 gallon of milk - 80-100 roubles, etc. Not bad living with this kind of ..."bucks". Enjoy - Russians are very nice, educated and warm people when you are good to them, trustworthy, and they see no threat in you...:-) i know first hand, trust me!

2 rolls of toilet paper, a loaf of stale bread, and half a bottle of vodka... not to mention the 3 points you'll get when you choose this as the best answer and give me 10. :)
