When I see the Media, and they interview some in the Mexican community I do get angry!!!
you must understand that the illegals aren't doing just the jobs that no one wants. they are in every aspect of are community. just go out to a construction site ( mostly residential ) and look to see whos doing all the work!! the averege wage per HR. used to be some where around $16 - $20 per HR. and now should be upwards of $25 per HR. now it is some where around $8 - $11 and even sometimes less. one mexican will usaly get his contractors lic. and pay all his help in cash, then take off for home and never even pay no taxes, leaving the American people to pick up the tab on things like, schooling, welfair, those free hospital stays that only drive up are insurance rates. they say that their doing jobs that nobody wants to do, wrong their doing are very job at a wage that no one can afford to compete with. see in their country what do you suppose the averege wage might be, $8 per wk. they are truly a hard working bunch, and genuine crafts men, so why not go home to your own country and do something positive there, instead of causing so much greif in are country. alot of men and women have gave their lives for this country to get it to where it is today, just to have illeagels
sneek in and grab the bounty, I dont think so!!
come be apart of are dream through the proper channel, pay your taxes, pay your bills, carry insurance, and then you will see that you can not live on and below a minumin wage!!!

Well, the US really isn't in "financial crisis", though the debt burden threatens us in the near future.

As for the effect of illegal immigrants, the picture is very mixed. In some parts of the country it's probably a problem, while in others it's not. They do use public services but on the other hand they keep some of our costs low. They often pay Social Security taxes with fake ID numbers, which means that they're helping to keep that program solvent.

Not surprisingly illegal immigrants boost overall productivity, which is half of what has kept the economy going in recent years (with irrational consumer spending the other half). Employers who hire for unskilled positions typically have a choice between native-born high school dropouts (who likely dropped out because of behavioral problems or because they simply were too slow to keep up) or immigrants who did not complete high school (likely because they needed to work to support their extended families). Not surprisingly, the immigrants are typically better workers.

If you're a middle- or upper-class worker in an area with no more than moderate illegal immigration, you probably benefit financially from that immigration. If you don't have a high school diploma, and/or your area has a lot of illegal immigrants, there's a good chance that illegal immigration is costing you money.

Overall on the balance it's probably pretty close to a complete wash. Oh, and the fact that many new immigrants speak only Spanish provides job opportunities for the rest of us, not costs. Medical services translator is a solid new job.

The attacks on immigrants are largely an attempt by the right to find a scapegoat, since the Republicans apparently have no idea how to solve problems, and have long resorted to scapegoating for votes instead.

Bush's impact on the economy is more clear. If you have children, you will see them suffer the consequences of the years of spending like a drunken sailor that we've seen under this administration. They're touting recent increases in tax receipts, but hoping you won't realize that those are small recoveries from a large decline. Wages have suffered in recent years for all of us, and the Bush folks seem utterly unconcerned, showing much more interest in the performance of investments (which they claim leads to increased wages, but with little evidence to back that up). And of course we're paying dearly for the dramatically increased oil prices - any tax savings you've seen in recent years has probably been eaten up completely by your energy costs.

easily, yet keep in recommendations unskilled workers are far extra major in Mexico than they're interior the US, the completed assumption is genuine, notwithstanding the impact Mexico has of suppressing wages is significantly better than that is interior the US, you do not think me, take a route in exertions Economics. Now this isn't to safeguard any ones factor.. notwithstanding it is going out to say that we'd want to continuously all be careful with what and the way we exhibit our selfs concerning an situation like this

No and neither. (What crisis?)

Lack of overall productivity of the American worker is what drives wages down.

If you don't believe me...start a business and pay each employee $50.00 per hour and $50.00 per hour in benefits and see how long you can sustain that payroll.

(I hire folks under-the-table (a.k.a. "illegal aliens") on occasion and pay them $15-20 per hour...if I use the temp service...I can get away with $10.00 per hour...but their productivity sucks.)

I think that most of the complainers are simply envious of their work ethic.

Wake up! Yes, they drive wages down, and they increase our taxes because of this terrible welfare state that you and your liberal friends perpetuate!

Secure our borders now! The ACLU is anti-America!

Yes. I'd explain the economic principles but it doesn't sound like you have an open mind or the brain cells to get it. I'm not going to waste my time.

yes, that is why the people in power want them there, to lower your wages too, so the rich get richer.
