It depends what you mean by love. Are you still "in love" with him or do just like having him around. I think every relationship goes through a period where there's not a massive spark and fancying each other goes astray slightly. In most cases though, the spark comes back and I can honestly say I still fancy my wife and that's after almost 10 years together, 7 of those married.
There's no real should or shouldn't about it, but if you're in it because it's more hassle to break up then it's not the best reason to stick around. Friendship should be the foundation of any sexual relationship, but it shouldn't be the be all and end all and if that's where you're at with it, it may be time to look at why.

I understand your situation. I have been in those shoes before as well. Friendship is one of the most important parts of a relationship. If you dont have that, you will never last. How does he feel? Should i assume that you love him as a friend but perhaps there are no sparks in the bedroom? Am I on the right track? There is somthing to be said about sparks...but there is somthing even bigger to be said about mutual trust, love, companionship and the like. Sparks are great...hot sex and lust can be great...but the bigger things last longer.

was with my bf for 1 1/2 years just ended it last week and we still live together until Thursday when he moves back to CO. We are now happier as friends than when we were in the relationship, mostly because wee were both living a lie and just liked being friends and living in different states.

I think it should be a bit of both, But if he still makes you happy then Great! Thats the main thing. He probably feels the same way. I think relationships turn to deep friendship after a time, but who can say how long that time is?
