I voted for him in 1997, and we had great hopes for a real change in British politics after 18 horrible years under the Tories. For the first 2 1/2 years all looked promising, although my mentor and friend Tony Benn warned even then that Blair was dangerous.
But after the Bush's coup d'etat in the USA in January 2001, the whole scene changed and Blair became an unbelievable lackey of right-wing American hicks. He betrayed the Labour Party, the country and the western world. And he became a willing and scheming accomplice in Bush's war crimes and crimes against humanity.
So it is obvious that I do not find Tony Blair attractive. And his looks as an individual have nothing to do with that, although even his looks have changed and he has now a really evil grin and the typical marks of a liar around his mouth.
