I know it is safe to skip your period for three months by taking birth control pills and just not take the white ones at the very bottom start up with the new pack and that will skip your period. I have done that a few times and it's nicer than every month. Talk to your doctor and see that would work for you.

Don't be so harsh on your period. It's healthy and normal, and without it, you would never have the option of having children. Try and get over the ickiness. It isn't icky, it only seems that way because that's what you've been taught. If your periods are really heavy, consider visiting your gynecologist and ask her to put you on the pill. Even the mini pill can help (a small dose of progestin). This will lighten your period and shorten the duration. Other contraceptives can knock out your period for extended periods of time, like 6 months or more. Check with a doctor about the possible side effects. If you react poorly to these, you're stuck with it for 6 months. Then again, most women prefer to get their period once a month so that they know everything is ok. Good luck.

actually if your a adult you can go to the gynecologist and there are some birth control bills that you can use and you don't have a period for about 3 months... That's the only way I know besides getting having female surgery..

It's part of keeping your complex reproductive track clean; without it you'd have some serious complications. I pity women ... as a man I cannot imagine having to gush a few teaspoons of my own blood every month in the name of good health.

Certain birth control pills make it where you only have about 4 periods a year. Just ask your gynocologist about it.
