I want the newest questions first ... in chronological order based on when they were asked... so I get the open questions at the top of the list ... it seems to me like the list is currently not in any real order ... thanks.

When I click on "advanced" it words like a "go" button and it just says "Sorry to answers." I guess my browser stinks. Thanks.

Unfortunately, there's no way to do this right now. As mentioned above, the Advanced Search page does have the option to see only questions asked in the last week or in the last month, but there's no sorting available.

However, this is a feature that has been requested a number of times. You can send your suggestions directly to the team via the "Tell us what you think" link at the bottom of the page or by posting in the user forum linked in the upper right corner.

On the right side of the search for questions, there is an ADVANCED link. CLick on advanced and you can set the filter for the dates of when it was posted.
