afterall the concerns with ID cards , he just flately refuses to listen to anyone , this is gonna cost (us) millions,just like any government IT based screw up

No, Tony listens but he is just completely crap with money.

His screw ups on his investment in houses bear this out; no wonder there are so many UK Government spending shambles (and if you think IT is bad, you should look at defence)

Luckily Gordon is better with the pennies but here is a guy who listens to absolutely no-one; just hear Gordon on the radio and the way he evades questions he does not like. His juniors do the same - Dawn Primalaro refuse to acknowledege any problems with the tax credit scheme that even labour supporters are angry with.

Don't know much about ID cards (Social Security numbers do the same thing here in the States) but I like him.

Actually, I think he handles himself rather well, under the circumstances. Did you see how well he did yesterday (open mic faux pas)? He's a real pro. Consider yourself lucky.
