Nope, only for people who deserve it. Knowledge is a privelge (sorry if i spelled it wrong, i just woke up) and people that don't work hard during grade school shouldn't get to go to college, they never payed attention before, so what makes you think they will pay attention now?

I think everyone should have the opportunity to go to college; however, if someone is not interested in academics, then he or she should choose other options: technical schools, other jobs, start a business, etc. I think that many believe that going to college is "best". I disagree. Not all people fit into the same molds. Each path has its own unique attributes and each has the potential to be equally valuable to society and to personal growth: it all depends on what you make of your choices (party at college, skip classes, and learn nothing; take on temp. jobs and travel; start and grow a business; etc.). It all depends on one's interests. Opportunity for all, yes; it's for everyone, no.

No, western society need the lower class to survive. Who will wash our cars or sweep our hallways if everyone was to go to college? There will always be a divide between the rich and the poor because there are always those who wish to have everything but take no action to achieve it. Those to complain they are making no money when they don't take the effort to get a job. I do understand that there are those to do not get the opportunity to earn a proper living, but for those who do not take the opportunities given to them, they deserve their fate.

NO, but I have family members who do, The spend thousands of dollars o their children's college for that kid to not even apply it to their life.

I think If you need college to do what you want to do in life by all means take every class necessary. But if you have desires to be something that does not require a college education then find the means to do it and go down that path. Everyone needs knowledge and that is why we have libraries.
