Because you seem like a decent, caring, kind hearted human being and if we had more with the qualities of caring like you maybe the world can be a better place.
Many of our problems today is because many don't have compassion and caring towards others unless its something that personally benefit them.
Yes, I feel many do take advantage of people like you because you care and feel for others. Caring has a positive and negative side to it. If you care to the point you allow others to use or mistreat your kindness and take it for your weakness than it is a negative. But if you care in a way that you stand up for yourself and do right to others while demanding you be respected than it can be a positive.
Keep on feeling for others it will pay off in the long run.
