my girlfriend and I have been going out for a couple of months now, and we became increasingly into each other as the summer went on. I think this girl really likes me and she wants us to continue going out after she leaves in a couple weeks even though we go to different schools. Also (and this sounds terrible), I've kind of just lost interest in her, I don't really know why, but it's just the way I feel. But it's still kind of fun hanging out with her I guess. So, should I break up with her now, or wait until she leaves and then say "this whole long-distance thing isn't really working for me". That seems like it might spare her feelings a little bit.

well by what you have said I think letters and e-mails occasionally would be the right thing for you. But I think you need to tell her the next time you see her so she can get a gripe and face the fact you would be better off as friends. Why commit your self to the impossible?!

no do it now so when she goes away she can concentrate on her school work. further more i do not think u like spending time with her at all. i looked at the i guess part. either yes or no i guess means not really just spend time with her at last resort. you two sound very young maybe going to college both of you are going to want to start over. have diff friends meet different potential partners all that college kid stuff. so there for what is the point in dragging it on. this would be a question for two people who are married to fret over you two have been together a couple months thats nothing. tell her hit the bricks. but be nice about it. good luck.

Well, there is no easy way to break up with someone, id say you should just be honest with her tell her you do not want to get involved in a long distance relationship and that you think she is a wonderful gurl but do not feel the same about her anymore thell her you are not trying to hurt her you just being honest and hope she understands...but do not use anty lines like 'i just want to be friends" if you do want to be friends just wait till the dust clears.........GOOD LUCK

yeah well i think the letting down easy part is good.. i think the long distance thing might work.. how far away is the distance though.. you may suggest you remain friends though...but if you have lost interest then i would indeed break it off.. it is not really terrible that you feel that way it just happens in relationships...it hurts more sometimes consider the fact if she loved you.. well hopefully it has not got that deep...but good luck ...

Talk to her about your feelings. She'll understand if she really cares about you. Lets be honest... things happen in college and nobody wants to be tied down to someone who is a long distance away. Cheating becomes inevitable. Just tell her that you care about her and that you don't want to hurt her and don't want to be hurt, so you want to be friends while you two are away in college and if things work out, maybe get together later.

I think talking about what your feeling with her would be the best option but maybe when she goes to her new school she will lose interest in you too and take the break up easier.

No no no no no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to break up with her before you leave and say pretty much exactly your details say somthing like "I really don't think you and I sould go out anymore. I think your really great and I'de love to still hang out with you but I think we would be better off as just friends. I jsut don't feel like we connect like we did when we started out. I hope you understand. But I really do still want to be friends" Lies are bad! get it over with NOW!

you shouldnt wait if u dont like her anymore you just tell her that you dont want to date anymore and maybe you could ask her if yall could still be friends and maybe she will go for that i know long distance relationships can be hard but they can be easier to but if you dont like her anymore than u need to dump her and move on with your life and let her do the same because yall will probably find someone yall like and want to date wen school starts back up

Before she leaves, talk to her, and let her know what you are feeling. yeah, it may hurt more now, but she will feel a lot better about it if you don't hide it from her and then dump her later.
