y + 3x = 2
-3y + 2x = -6

y + 3x = 2
y = -3x + 2

-3(-3x + 2) + 2x = -6
9x - 6 + 2x = -6
7x - 6 = -6
7x = 0
x = 0

y = -3(0) + 2
y = 0 + 2
y = 2

x = 0
y = 2

multiple 3 times everything in the top
3(y) + 3(3x) = 3(2) which gives you 3y + 9x = 6 and add that to -3y + 2x = -6....

x = 0....plug in x = 0 and you get y = 2

y+3x = 2 mean y = 2 - 3x (1)
-3y + 2x = -6 plug in (1) gives:
-3(2-3x)+2x=-6
11x -6 = -6
11x = 0 ==> x = 0 ==> y = 2-0 = 2
(x,y) = (0,2)

multipy with 3 to the first equation
3y+9x=6
-3y+2x= -6.....on adding these two equations 11x=0 => x=0.
y+3(0)=2( substuting x=0 in first eqn)
y=2.
there fore x=0,y=2
