Because we're taught that such things ARE sexy. If we were taught they were disgusting or shameful, you'd feel that way instead (we all know a few people like that that have to go "Ewwwwww" every time something remotely sexually oriented is said/seen). Because you know that a black silky thong and bra IS sexy, you know that YOU are more sexy when you wear them. Because you know you're more sexy you FEEL more sexy.
In addition, the fact that you're wearing a very sensual material on you errogenous zones can only be causeing stimulation that your body interprets as sexual contact making you open to more sexual thoughts.

I personally, and I know many guys feel the same way, are turned off when a girl wears thongs or sexual clothing. It makes them look "used" and too sexual and no one wants a relationship with someone who has sex just for sex.
Not any real men, anyway.

I think its a mental thing, when girls see that they look sexy they think "hmmm, if i look sexy to myself, then everyone else must think i look sexy, so i should show it off!!"
