I was in the US a while back and bought a T-Mobile SIM to use in my phone. I'm now going to the US again, but not to Houston. Is it possible to keep the SIM i had originally bought, but change the number to have the area code of the new city i'm going to instead of the old Houston area code? Or is it just simpler to buy a new SIM?

Hi. What you can do is call T-Mobile's customer service line and have them change your phone number to the requested area code in which you are going. It's an easy and very simple procedure. Also, be aware that there is a small fee for the change though, which varies with all cell phone providers. Hope this information helps.

No need to buy a new sim card if going to be using the same companys service. Just call their customer service and ask them to chamge it for you. It is as simple as that.

You shouldn't need to buy new SIM, but the company will have to program all new info into it.
