I'm currently working on writing down memoirs of my freshman year of college. Mainly talks about drugs, sex, sleezy roommates and also about how I fell in love. It's as honost as something about college could be. Do you think I should continue writing it? I think it has potential, but i also am only writing it in hopes of getting it published.

That's sounds awesome; I'm doing the same. But for your true-life book, keep to the facts. Don't embellish for what you think others might enjoy. This book is a part of your own life story and should tell that story. Also, don't leave out any 'unsavory' parts. The publishers would want to see the raw material and a straightforward delivery. If someone says it is worthless, ignore them; they've obviously never tried to do what you are. But do let people you trust go over it for grammatical errors; publishers do appreciat books w/ correct spelling and grammar. Those books are easier to read. Well, when you finish it feel free to send me a preview at: purple13c@yahoo.com! Don't give up!

Yes! Keep writing. You might be able to send a first chapter to a publisher to see if it is something they would consider publishing before you finish an entire book. Good luck!

Try not to think about it. Keep it as real and straightforward as possible. Do not write it as an entertainment for others. Keep it personal. Then once you leave college you can see if it can be. But I really do not think you should see now. Just wait and your writings will open up as you experience so much more in your later years of college.

Of course it has a chance! Keep writing and get it out there. If someone tells you no, move on to the next and the next until someone says YES...never give up!!!!! Good Luck!! Sounds like a good idea for some interesting reading.

The worst that can happen is that the publishers will turn you down. Just concentrate on doing the best writing you can and you have the same chance as any other writer.

Sure, ya can. People LOVE to read about all that kind of stuff! 'Cause we all know people just like your characters!

Here's a web site about becoming a self-published author. You can publish, market and sell your book with BookSurge, which is an Amazon company. Good luck to ya!
